Berlin, 09.10.23 — Bling, the first family FinTech in Europe, has successfully received the recognized TÜV certification. The certification is the result of extensive testing and audits that Bling has applied to its platform. It is a testament to Bling's constant care and commitment to protect personal data and transactions of its users, in particular the youngest family members.

Leon Stephan, co-founder and CTO of Bling, commented on the award as follows: “Security is the key element of our platform. Parents use the Bling Card and app to offer their children a secure payment method. After we have already implemented numerous security aspects within the app, such as setting various rules and limits by parents to monitor and control the use of bling, we are taking another step in terms of data security. The TÜV experts who carried out the audit were also surprised that Bling — not a long-established company — can demonstrate such a high level of professionalism and expertise in handling personal data. “Bling takes great care when it comes to the data protection of its users” — commented Guido Hermanowski, member of the management of tekit Consult Bonn, a subsidiary of the TÜV-Saarland Group.

The TÜV “Certified Data Protection” certification is always viewed from two perspectives and from two specialist areas. The focus is primarily on the data protection concept, but the special feature of the audit is the interdisciplinary inspection by legal and IT experts.
